  1. We have Western Diamondback Rattlers who we have found at the front door of our home. We live on the outskirts of Tucson which sits in the Sonoran Desert. We have had a couple of tarantulas and frequent visits from coyote and scorpions. Life can be interesting around here, Luke. btw, Adders:

The adder is the only venomous snake native to Britain. Adders have the most highly developed venom injecting mechanism of all snakes, but they are not aggressive animals. Adders will only use their venom as a last means of defense, usually if caught or trodden on.
I run a weekly animal podcast you may want to check out at: www.zooanimals.info. Love your videos.

  2. btw, Luke, Rattlers can strike 1.5 times their body length. If bit, you have about 2-4 hours to get help and anti-venom pumped in. That is not much time. The big ones, like the one you saw they pack a lot of venom. Serious stuff, Luke. Be careful.
