Everything You Need and None of the BS - FireMaple Cooking Kit with Stove


What I have here today is a cook kit from FireMaple -
It includes multiple pots, pans, a kettle and something that most cook kits don’t include, a stove!

This system is similar in some ways to the Trangia 27-7 Stove Kit but it includes a lot more and is substantially less expensive. 

While I like the Trangia 27-7, it’s a nice bit of kit, I can’t say that I like it enough for the rather high price tag.  That’s why I’m here today - this Cooking Kit with Gas Burner from FireMaple makes a lot more sense.

Insane Ultralight Inexpensive Down! - NatureHike Ultralight Quilt / Blan...


What I have here today is a very lightweight sleeping bag quilt that I've already begun testing out and I can tell you all that I'm very impressed. 

This is a hybrid product, it forms a sleeping bag for when you are getting chilly or it could be a quilt blanket which you lay over the top of you when it's warm out.

The Strangest Night of Camping I Have Ever Had - Camping in the Rain


While I have had some strange experiences while out camping, this one is certainly the weirdest one yet.

In the early evening while sitting around a fire, I heard footsteps within the forest. Close enough for me to hear sticks breaking underfoot but not close enough for me to see it.

Then late into the night, a deafening crash wakes me from my sleep and by sunrise, I find a large tree lying across the very trail I’d taken to reach camp. 

Here’s the thing, there's no sign of where the tree came from, there's no drag marks, no holes in the ground...

What happened that night, I do not know.
