In January of 2025, Thomas Plamberger led his girlfriend Kerstin Gurtner on a trek to summit the tallest mountain in Austria.

In the middle of the night Thomas left his girlfriend to die while he summited the mountain.

Hours later Kerstin was found dead, he was arrested and recently his case went to court.
