This is the 12L bag, I paid $13 for it during a sale.

Colors :
I’ll be honest, I don’t know for certain what colors that are available and that’s because you don’t get to choose the color when ordering this product. This might be a dealbreaker for many….

There is a green, blue, and blue….these I have seen but there could be other colors.

Versions :
There is a lighter weight version available called the Air Zippsack - it was only available in purpose and is more expensive.

How I use it :
While you could use these bags for all sorts of purposes, when I saw this on the GG web site it stood out to me as an excellent ultralight food storage bag and I was right, that has been a great use for it.

Review Pros :
Very good quality
Good materials - durable
Very good price
12L size is excellent for a multi day adventure - easily holds 3 days worth of meals, snacks and coffee. Plus trash and a bear hang kit.
Grab handles at both ends
Zipper is smooth and there is a good zipper pull BUT….

Review Cons :
Going to the cons, there is a flap that goes over the zipper and you will find that it gets in the way of opening and closing this bag. The solution is to fold the flap back when you plan to access this bag; that will allow for the zip to be used without any issues.

The Biggest con is that you can’t select the color which is really, really weird and this applies to any site where you can purchase these bags. I have no idea why GG does this as they really are shooting themselves in the foot here; the site doesn’t even show green an option…what if I received a purple bag….that just wouldn’t work for me.

It’s a gamble….what color are you going to get if you order one?

Who knows.

Summary :
Ultimately I like this bag, for the purpose that I use it for it rocks!
Throw all of your food and snacks in here, include a bag for trash and you are good to go.

If needed, you can also add a liner to keep everything dry during a good rain event, plus a bear hang kit and there is plenty of space left over.

These can make excellent gear storage bags, clothing bags, fire kits and so on. You can also use this for storage when bike packing,

These bags are inexpensive, can be used for a number of different purposes - I gambled on this and the color is ok….I can live with it especially when you consider that I paid only $13 for this bag during a sale.

Versatile - I’ve used these pouches for all sort of purposes including hiking, backpacking, photography and even biking.

The bottoms of the bags feature gussets so it is possible that they stand up; it depends on what you pack in the bags though whether or not that is possible though.

Great for organizing your gear

Review Cons :
No zipper pulls

Because these are mesh bags one will need to be gentler with these than with some other bags. Speaking of which, TT makes other pouches who are stronger and I will be reviewing those soon.

Summary :

For the money, these Pouches from TT offer a really good ratio of quality, durability, and versatility.

TT is a company that I am beginning to explore and while testing these I have been testing some other gear bags and even a backpack.

So far I am very impressed with what I’m seeing here and everything that I have heard from my viewers has been very positive.

Going back to the bags, there are plenty of storage bag options on the market today, I have reviewed many and these are just as good in many ways...these are also less expensive than many that I have reviewed

In most cases you will see these bags being used with traveling and while they work great for that purpose, they also work exceptionally well for hiking, backpacking, and so on.

Cons :

The only real con for these bags is the cost; $38

that’s Kifaru pricing but the quality is good, the warranty is the best in the busy and these bags are very unfunctional without adding any real weight to your pack.

The Osprey web site continues with the theme of odd and inaccurate information.  For this product the site didn’t include any product specs, and it claimed that a selling point was that the zippers secure the contents.  Yeah osprey, I guess the zippers do secure the contents….thanks for letting us know.

 I recently came across this pouch while looking to see if there were any interesting products which I felt you all would be interested in seeing and came across this one.  It’s what Osprey refers to as a liquid pouch, it’s cost $10 and I liked the fact that it was ultralight and was see through.  For a kit bag, that could be incredibly handy and as liquids bag for traveling comes in handy from time to time.

I received the pouch and was looking at the packaging and noticed that everything was incorrect from the weight, to the measurements and this carried over to the osprey web site.  Osprey is a big company, get your stuff together!  Osprey states that the pouch features a Dual-zippered main compartment.  Umm, no it doesn’t.

Also the description on their web page isn’t even about this product and I can’t help but feel that the company is producing so many products that they don’t have the capability of even getting their details correct.  I don’t like that but lets focus on the pouch.

The pouch I like but not for the sake of a liquids pouch; yes it would probably please the average TSA agent but in my opinion a good quality liquids pouch is one that is sealable and is leak proof.  If you have a leak in this, it’s coming out of the pouch easily!  Leak proof travel bags, they are out there but aren’t as common as you would think. Anyways, being used as a kit bag, this is where this pouch shines and I recommend it for smaller items such as a fire kit, first aid kits or a light bag.  Works perfectly this way, much better than a liquids bag.

Pros :
Very light weight.

Very good quality if with the pile of mistakes made by Osprey.

Easy to see what you are grabbing and what is inside.

Good size; can hold a lot

Covered by an awesome warranty- They have one of the best warranties in the busy; they will repair any product for any reason and it doesn’t matter how long you have had it.  If they can’t fix it, they replace it.

Has a loop to assist with opening…but is missing one on the other side for closing.  I would like to see that added.

Cons :

Will leak liquid – For liquids, stick with a ziplock bag; will please TSA but outside of flying, go with something else entirely.

So little attention was paid to the packaging and the web site…it doesn’t make Osprey look very good and doesn’t inspirit confidence.

Review :

Zippers : A often noticed complaint about Vanquest pouches are the zippers; when new, they are stiff and somewhat sticky.  The good news is this; over time they do loosen up.  How do I know this?  Experience!  I’ve carried the Husky for years and the zips were sticky when new.

I love this little pack! This pack allows me to keep a bunch of useful items with me at all times in a back pack. From first aid to flashlights to just about anything you might need in a pinch, just use your imagination. Whenever I'm out with my family and friends especially on vacation or just a weekend adventure I usually have this with me. Somebody always needs something....nail clippers, flashlight, first aid, zip tie, multitool, you name it, there's a good chance I've got something in this pack help someone out.

Pros:

Good quality construction and lots of loops/straps/compartments to organize your 'stuff'.
Many different mounting/hanging options.
Lighter than I expected for all the organizational options.

Cons:

Shipped flattens, which made 1st use more awkward.
Zippers are much too tight. Too much pulling force to open/close zippers.

Each one of these 4 pouches have a purpose in my pack. Once you familiarize yourself with color coding what each one holds it makes everything much easier to find all the little odds and ends you normally have floating around in your pack.

I will be using these in the future with our overnight adventures.  You all have seen the Vaultz mesh bags that i use but theses are much, much bigger.

Three of the bags are made from supple nylon with a printed logo on the side. One is a mesh bag that gives a good overview of the content. The mesh bag can also be used as a laundry bag to "spin-dry" wet clothes in the field or to melt snow during a winter trek. Small sticks and debris stay in the mesh bag leaving you with cleaner melted snow.

I have been using this Organizer for a while now for many different purposes including ddc and backpacking and I have some footage of both.  The first is with a backpacking trip that I did recently.

The next is with a family vacation that I recently took and used this as an EDC pouch.

In the future I would like to see a backpacker version of this pouch.  For Vanquest this could be a big seller.  A similar pouch but one that is light weight.  Backpackers are always looking to save weight and to find ways to organize their gear.

I really like this for these reasons;

VANQUEST offers a number of different variations of the Organizer so if you are interested in this one, there is a link in the description box below for you.

You may be thinking that this looks similar to a product turned out by
Maxpedition and you would be right and there is a reason for this.  Two of the the fine folks at VANQUEST were part of the original founding team of Maxpedition since 2003.

While the organizers look similar there are some real world difference between the two and it boils down to strength.  The Husky Organizer uses 1000d Cordura where the Maxpedition uses a much weaker nylon fabric.

Cordua is also made in the USA and the nylon from Maxpditions is not.

Ultimately there are a lot of differences between the two that I encourage you to take a look at.  We could go on for ours about this but in the end it boils down to this;

A strong, more durable and reliable product.

It’s not to say that Maxpedition is bad, that’s not the case at all but there are differences between quality levels.
