Rugged, light and compact, the Cush Recon is versatile, mission-ready comfort that easily transitions from backcountry to ball game. It wraps precisely around your head and fits right into your sleeping bag’s hood with an ergonomic deign that cups the ears and minimizes irritation at pressure points. Use it at single-layer thickness, or double or triple it up for more comfort while sitting or taking a quick trail nap. The Cush packs down to the size of a wallet, weighs just three ounces and inflates with just a single breath.

OutdoorsmanLab Ultralight Sleeping Pad - Review

Support TOGR with Patreon : https://www.patreon.com/TOGR

Today Luke is reviewing the OutdoorsmanLab Ultralight Sleeping Pad.

Link : http://outdoorsmanlab.com/outdoorsmanlab-ultralight-sleeping-pad-w-air-support-cells-bl/

Amazon : https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M08KJBI

Price : $46.95 + Shipping

Color : Blue Orange Green

•      Ultralight sleeping pad weights ~14.9 oz (440g) and packs down to 9″x2.75″x2.75″.
•      Great comfort, support, and warmth with spot-cell air channel to limit air flow and better support.
•      Easy-to-use air valve allows for quick inflation (in 10 – 15 breaths) and deflation (in seconds!)
•      Durable, waterproof, abrasion resistant with Ripstop 20D Nylon fabric and extruded TPU Lamination
•      Easy pack and go with included nylon stuff sack that can fit even in your pocket.
•      LIFETIME WARRANTY – Fully warranted against defects in materials and workmanship with a lifetime guarantee.

I noticed on their web site that it states that with this product you receive a Life Time Warranty but on the Tag which is attacked to the carry sack, it says that you have to register for a 1 year Warranty.  From what I have seen, you do get a Life Time Warranty.

-Thoughtfully designed air cells provide great comfort and support for a great night of sleep

-Isolated air channels to limit air flow and provide warmth even without insulation (R-value 1.3 ~ 1.5)

-Inflated Size: 73 inch x 21.6 inch x 2.2 inch.

Large air valve for easy inflation / deflation in seconds.

Super small packaging, easy to carry with included carrying bag

Pair with other OutdoorsmanLab gear such as OutdoorsmanLab sleepng bag and OutdoorsmanLab backpacking tent for great outdoor adventure experience.

Pros :

Small Size
Light weight.
Comfortable.
Good Quality especially for the price.
Excellent price.
Excellent air valve.
Easy and quick to inflate.
No issues with quality
No issues with air leakage
Rolls up easily
Quick to deflate

Their customer support seems to be excellent based on what I have read online.  They seem to respond quickly and will replace their products if issues arise.

Cons :

Not the thickest of pads; if you have issues with your hips and you may want to go with a larger, thicker sleeping pad.

While insulated do keep in mind that this is not the warmest pad on the market.  My estimated range is temps down to 40F

Could be thicker, there will be times when moving around that you will feel the ground below you.  I find it comfortable but for larger individuals, you amy want to look at thicker options

No patch kit is included

Wise Cheesy Lasagna - Camper's Cafe

Support TOGR with Patreon : https://www.patreon.com/TOGR

Today for this episode of the Camper's Cafe, Luke and Susie have some Cheesy Lasagna from Wise Outdoors.

….

Link Amazon : http://www.midwayusa.com/product/3226738872/wise-food-long-term-25-year-4-serving-cheesy-lasagna-freeze-dried-food

Price : Prices range from $6 - $18

Note : There is at least two different versions of this meal which you will find online; this one which doesn’t have any meat in it and there is a version which has sausage.  Make sure to read the fine print before you purchase if you decide to purchase.

Sizes : There are multiple sizes available for purchase.  We have the 9.7oz which is 4 servings but you can find 6oz 2 servings which have the meat as well.

Note : The 6oz 2 person serving bag can be made like traditional freeze dried meals by adding water to the bag.

I tried looking for some information about the Wise Company but couldn’t find much online.  I even spoke with one of their reps and they couldn’t tell me anything about their history.  Strange.

Reduce weight and save energy while you backpack deep into the backcountry with the Big Agnes Slater UL 2 Plus 2-Person 3-Season Tent. This tent weighs in at less than three pounds, offers superb protection from the elements, and is easy to set up when you arrive at your campsite after a long trek.

It features solid ripstop nylon walls (with small mesh vents) that offer a little more warmth, strength, and durability than mesh, without adding more than a few ounces of weight. Throw in a silicone- and PU-treated ripstop nylon fly with fully taped seams and expedition-style coverage, and you have a tent that pushes the boundaries of a traditional three-season shelter.

To keep your gear safe from mild winter to summer, the Slater has a vestibule and a nylon door to seal out the elements all year long. Setup's as breezy as an afternoon ridgeline, thanks to a super-simple hub pole design that features Featherlite DAC aluminum poles that offer stability without any excess weight, and the guylines and webbing are reflective to save you embarrassment, and misfortune, of tripping over your tent in the middle of the night. If you're looking to shave even more weight in the summer, pick up the Slater footprint and bring just the fly and footprint for a light and quick setup option. For three-plus-season camping, it's tough to make a better bet.

•      Incredibly lightweight, breathable tent that's perfect for the trail
•      Tough ripstop construction withstands abuse and has waterproof treatment
•      Featherlite DAC poles add stability and support without weight
•      Large vestibule has plenty of room for your gear
•      Mesh vents let cool, fresh breezes blow in

Multiple storage pockets and gear loft help store smaller essentials
