Here's a hunting story :)...One time..I was hunting and I saw five Turkey on a limb but I only had one shot left so I shot the limb and split it down the middle..the Turkey fell between the split and it snapped back and caught all five by the feet...I was so happy I through my hands up in the air and caught two ducks flying bye When I go Squirrel hunting i just find a big rock to throw...I'm right handed but I throw with my left so I don't tear the meat up!!

  3. Super Fog sound impressive over the pond we call it smog, for your sons question - My favorite part of camping (sadly not in the middle of a forest) is sitting outside my tent watching the bats fly above. They usually come in at lights end to get the midges hovering above the tent and pass in front of the sunset, and stay well past my turning in point where they will 'flash' as they enter the lantern light, never get tired of watching that show.

  5. Its great that you are involving your son and showing him the skills he needs for the outdoors, as well as taking him on the trips. Great stuff. For the book I would as a first suggestion recommend "A Walk in the Woods" by Bill Bryson, an American writer now I think living in New Hampshire, but who has also lived here in the UK for a number of years.
