Luke, this is the BEST review I've seen on the Hilleberg...any model for that matter I can attest to the wind strength of Hilleberg tents. A physician friend of mine and I camped in the Lauterbrunnen area of Switzerland and it was a wintry weekend. Gusts of wind up to 40mph and the snow flew sideways. That tent didn't move an inch all weekend. We were well protected and were able to cook all of our meals within the vestibule. That site was our base camp as we hiked around the mountain. Dave was an avid proficient climber and he was seeking a new conquest...I was along for the ride. Depending on where my wife and I pick our "final" home (hoping for the Rockies myself, she the beach) I will splurge on this Hilleberg but only for car camping or short hikes into a base camp area. My 71 y/o back complains about my 3lb tent.
