Very nice! I can't wait to get back over there again. Can you tell me exactly where you parked? I hiked to the shelter from the opposite direction, started from Basin Cove Overlook.
Hey there Jim, I parked over by the Basin Cove Overlook as well (close to the water tower). There is the trail that leads from the parking lot down but if memory serves me it's ends a few miles in. Thanks buddy. - Luke
Luke, it's like you have a piece of paradise there. Thanks for sharing it with us! There is every reason for your smile (which is very nice). The kit, as usual for you, was perfectly suited for the day and you explained it well. And I like the attitude you told us about. Years ago I was learning rock-climbing in BC with instructors who were ex-forces from the UK. They had the 'conquer the wilderness' mindset I hated - I like to blend in, be at one with nature, appreciate her awesome gifts.
Hey there Deri, well said my friend. When it comes to nature, your attitude is the right one. Those with a 'conquer the wilderness' mindset are straight up ignorant! Be well my friend. - Luke
Luke, you have done it again, another great video full of info for the rest of us. Beautiful country side. I have never been in that area my self. But, form your video,I will be going to see this in person. waiting to see your review on what you carried with you. Thanks again your hard work that you love doing. Pugs
