Hi Luke! I was going to order one of these units until I discovered that Vapur water bottle now offers a micro filter as a separate entity. I love my Vapur and just ordered a second one from Amazon; and just put a micro filter unit ($25) on my save for later page. The Vapur bottle won't collapse like the Katadyn bottle, even empty by just blowing air into it. The Vapur weighs 1.something ounces empty and folds into a very small package and is secured in place with its own built-in carabiner. Happy New Year, buddy! AlphaWhiskey47
