What it is : Small, lightweight fire starters that can be used to get your fires going.

I like the smaller pre-cut size myself and that is why I picked these up to take a look at.

Weight of container with 20 fuses : .8oz / 22g
Weight of an individual fuse : so lightweight that i couldn’t get my scale to even read one.

Company Claims :

There are a number of claims there but they are also vague at the same time.

Weatherproof? What does that mean exactly?
They go on to claim that these offer a breezeproof flame.
Considerably larger, stronger and longer burning than a flame put out by a match or lighter.

What classifies as a longer burning flame?
Compared to what? A match? A lighter? A lighter is going to burn for longer than this and it won’t even be close.

Easy to open up the fibers and ignite

Burn time?

Cons :
The web page for this company doesn’t provide a lot of information about the products they sell and some of the claims sound more like marketing talk than anything else. They don’t state easy to discern information about weight, size, container information nor specific details about the overall burning characteristics of their products.

The company seems to offer products that aren’t offered on their own web site. The smaller 1.75” fuses are sold at KnifeCenter.

Pricey for the amount of fire starters that you receive; there are other wax based fire starter out there that burn for longer, put off a larger flame and are substantially less expensive. Not even talking about making your own…
